Tougher fabrics have been used in the outer and the addition of a Gore-Tex lining will aid in shrugging off all but the very worst of the weather this winter.  A high cuff with drawcord seal removes the need for soggy gaiter-sock combinations that soak up the sludge and weigh you down.  When you finally return from a day battling with the winter weather, enclosed laces remove the finger numbing wrestle with icy clogged up knots, letting you get on with heating the tent up or stopping the dog escaping to the front room before a rub down!
