POSE RUNNING COACH NOW PRACTICING FROM LAKES RUNNER

With more and more being made of 'barefoot' and the POSE running techniques and the advantages they can deliver to reducing injury and helping more consistent training.  Lakes Runner decided to invite Erica Donnison, qualified POSE running Coach and teacher of the Alexander Technique to join our other specialist practitioners once a week in our sports injury clinic.

Why ALEXANDER Technique?

 The Alexander Technique is a self-help method which can help you ease neck, shoulder or back pain, RSI and any muscular tension or stiffness that you may habitually hold. It helps you improve your posture and move more freely. Recent research shows that the Technique is particularly helpful for the long-term treatment of chronic low back pain.

Using the Alexander Technique you become aware of undue muscular tension or that you are working your muscles too hard both of which can cause stiffness or pain or recurrent injuries.  You learn to run differently, using less effort and more poise.  Combining the Alexander Technique with the Pose Running Method, you learn a new way of running which allows you to do less to achieve more. For runners who want to learn the Pose Method of running or just want to experience how to run with less effort Erica is offering a package of 8 sessions tailor made to your needs.

Erica Charges £30 per session, with an initial consultation lasting aproximately 1hr, with follow up sessions of 45 - 55 mins each.
